About the conference

This one-day practice conference aims to explore the musical nature of young children’s lives and to discuss effective approaches for nurturing musicality as part of lifelong learning in and through music.

MERYC-UK (Music Educators and Researchers of Young Children) invites abstracts which describe innovative practice and its underpinning theories relating to the field of music in early childhood (0-8 years) in education (both inside and outside school) from practitioners engaged in early childhood music and its research in the UK and Europe.

Keynote Speaker: Sally Goddard Blythe Msc, International Director of The Institute for Neuro-Physiological Psychology in Chester and author of books on child development.
