Capella Duriensis

Summer Singing! 2016 is a residential/nonresidential choral course for both amateur and professional singers, located in the historical city of Braga in northern Portugal.

Singers can apply to work at Level 1 (amateur with some choral experience) or Level 2 (musically trained with some professional experience), and participate in daily rehearsals, performances and workshops (see below). The course offers a full schedule of activities and the working atmosphere is friendly and supportive.

The course is organised by the Portuguese vocal ensemble Capella Duriensis, who are currently recording a series of CDs for the Naxos label of Portuguese masterpieces of the renaissance. Principal vocal coaches Simon Carrington (founder member of The King's Singers), Jonathan Ayerst and Vitor Lima, with members of Capella Duriensis, work closely with all participants to offer professional advice and clear guidance to improving vocal and choral skills.
