UK launch of Trinity Rock & Pop goes off with a bang

A showcase event on Monday night to launch Trinity College London's new Rock & Pop music exams in the UK was a huge hit.

With live performances of music from the syllabus followed by an open jam session, the crowd was able to experience the music in action at Bloomsbury Bowling Lanes near Russell Square in London.

The launch took place on the eve of the first day of musiclearninglive!2012, Music Education UK's two-day national festival of music education at which Trinity Rock & Pop exhibited. Delegates were invited to the launch after the conference which took place just around the corner at the Institute of Education.

Entry up to Grade 5 is now open in the new Rock & Pop music exams with the first exam sessions taking place in May 2012.

Available in 14 countries internationally, the exams are supported by a new website at www.trinityrock.com with a wide range of resources including support videos featuring professional musicians.
